With about 29 500 hectares of vineyards in production, classified in Protected designation of origin ( A.O.C) and a volume of harvest about 1,5 millions hectolitres (that is 200 million marketed bottles). The vineyard of Bourgogne extends over 5 big regions-lighthouses of production. From north to south: the vineyards of Chablis, the Big Inhabitant of Auxerre, Thunder, Joigny and Vézelay; the vineyards of the Night rib, High Ribs of Nights and Châtillonnais; the vineyards of the Rib of Beaune and the High Ribs of Beaune; the vineyards of the Rib Chalonnaise and the Couchois and finally, the vineyard of Mâconnais.
